BARE BASE PLANNER

Civil Engineer beddown layout, phasing, and expert knowledge capture

Define the beddown

Set the site and mission profile. The planner seeds a doctrine-based baseline layout from the J1 kit, then you refine it on satellite imagery across the phasing timeline.

Plot the runway first — everything else is laid out around it. Search a location, click one end of the runway then the other, and the camp center snaps clear of the clear zone. Switch to “Set camp center” to move the cantonment yourself, then drop the hard-to-move anchors — LSA (tent lines), C2, fuel berm and the explosive area. Everything else is scattered around them.

Anything you want on the ground before the layout is generated — medical, flight kitchen, MWR, chapel, FSS services and the rest of the grocery list.
